Welcome to the sixteenth edition of Göteborg Open!
The tournament has attracted several international shogi players during previous years and we hope this will be the case again. We are looking forward to meet you all in Göteborg 28th to 29th of November. The venue is located in the central part of Göteborg, close to shops, hotels and restaurants. All participants are welcome to join a common dinner on Saturday evening.

Thinking time and pairing
Thinking time: 45 minutes + 40 seconds byo-yomi
Pairing: Swiss using Swiss Perfect.
Prizes
Prizes will be given to places 1-3 and the rating prizes to the best players, 1-5 kyu, 6-10 kyu och 11-20 kyu.
Prize giving around 16.00.
Dinner at Saturday night
On Saturday night we will dine together at a nearby resturant (with resonable prices).

There is also a possibility to stay at the venue, already from the night between Friday and Saturday (or just the night between Saturday and Sunday). The cost is 80 SEK per night. Tell me at pre-registration if you are interested in one or two nights!
