Welcome to the nineteenth edition of Göteborg Open!

Big news this year! The winner of Göteborg Open will be guaranteed 1000 SEK in cash as prize money. Money prizes for second and third place will be given in case of enough participants.

The tournament has attracted several international shogi players during previous years and we hope this will be the case again. We are looking forward to meet you all in Göteborg 8th to 9th of December. The venue is located in the central part of Göteborg, close to shops, hotels and restaurants. All participants are welcome to join a common dinner on Saturday evening.

If any position will be tied using those three criteria, then the prize money will be shared.
