Invitation to Göteborg Open 2013

Welcome to the fourteenth edition of Göteborg Open!

The tournament has attracted several international shogi players during previous years and we hope this will be the case again. We are looking forward to meet you all in Göteborg 23rd to 24th of November. The venue is located in the central part of Göteborg, close to shops, hotels and restaurants. All participants are welcome to join a common dinner on Saturday evening.

Göteborgs Schackcentrum, Vegagatan 20

Bus: no. 60 Stop: Oskar Fredriks kyrka

Personal registration: November 23rd latest 11.45

Fee: 100 SEK

Schedule

Saturday:

Round 1: 12.00

Round 2: 15.00

Round 3: 18.00

Sunday:

Round 4: 08.00

Round 5: 10.30

Round 6: 13.30


Thinking time and pairing

Thinking time: 45 minutes + 40 seconds byo-yomi

Pairing: Swiss using Swiss Perfect.


Prizes

Prizes will be given to places 1-3 and the rating prizes to the best players, 1-5 kyu, 6-10 kyu och 11-20 kyu.

Prize giving around 16.00.


Dinner at Saturday night

On Saturday night we will dine together on a nearby resturant (with resonable prizes). Please inform us if you like to join latest November 17th.

For a limited number of players there is a possibility to stay at the venue. Please contact Martin Danerud if you want to do that. You have to bring a pillow case and bed linen. A stay at the venue costs 80 SEK per night.
